Our History
Digsafe Locating and Camera was founded in June 2000 by David McIntosh. David commenced his locating career in 1995 when he was employed by his father Reg McIntosh. Reg, with over 35 years of experience in the field, introduced Radiodetection pipe and cable locators into Queensland, offering both a sales and location service. David jumped on-board focusing on the location service side, while his father dedicated his time to sales and training. With extensive full-time training by an industry pioneer, David became a very skilled and competent service locator, water leak detector and drain camera operator with access to current industry-leading equipment. David founded Digsafe Locating & Camera when Reg decided to focus solely on sales.
Over the years Digsafe Locating & Camera has evolved into a small focused company prioritising expertise in select tasks. Originally concentrating on the location of buried services with extensive site survey work, the company has shifted focus to water leak detection and drain camera inspection.
Tom, a qualified carpenter, enthusiastically joined David in January 2015 as a full-time employee. Tom’s extensive building knowledge and skill set, along with intensive industry training by an expert, has helped mould him into a proven water leak detector, accomplished service locator, and skilled drain camera operator. With a combined experience of over 30 years, both David and Tom offer a very proficient professional service, with great attention to detail while using state of the art detection equipment.
We are the preferred location/inspection specialists by various plumbers, electricians, builders, construction companies, real estate agencies and property owners.
